Dr. Daniel Greene, WorkSafe Director
Dr. Greene managed safety training programs for over a decade for Ford, General Motors and other Fortune 500 companies. He has managed the WorkSafe program for over 10 years.
His academic background includes a Bachelor of Science degree from Wayne State University. While attending WSU he worked as a student athletic trainer with the university’s varsity sports teams. He has been a practicing chiropractor in Skidway Lake Michigan since 1993.
Kathy Schaefer, WorkSafe Program Administrator
Her career includes being a hospital administrator, association public policy advisor and news media spokesperson. In the late '90s and early 2000s, she managed a staff of more than 150 skilled and unskilled workers on two hospital campuses for McLaren. Kathy graduated with a BS in Dietetics from Michigan State University and began her professional career as a Registered Clinical Dietitian specializing in Surgical and Intensive Care.
Her training programs have consistently scored the highest levels by company managers and employees. The WorkSafe approval rating has ranked over 90% on a scale of 100.
Kathy manages WorkSafe from her position at Communications & Research, Inc., a research and marketing firm. Her background includes project management, accounting, grant writing, publishing, health and science research.
WorkSafe is funded by a MIOSHA educational grant awarded to the Michigan Association of Chiropractors.
